It helps you select your desired washing time. Just twist and turn it to move the arrow. There’s a separate start button for when you want to start or end the washing cycle cycle.

You can track the washing time progress when you monitor the knob position. Knob moves towards the off position and signals that the cycle is complete.

If turning the dial doesn’t change the settings or start a cycle, the control board or the knob itself might be failing. Change it with this part.
